Hello! I’m Irene Ryu, a JD holder. Born in Korea and raised in the Philippines from elementary through high school, I embarked on my journey to the U.S. as an international student on an F-1 visa. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in just 3 years, graduating Cum Laude without any prior college credits. This experience gave me firsthand insight into the U.S. education system and the various challenges international students face.
My life as an immigrant naturally led me to a passion for immigration law. I pursued this passion at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where I earned my JD degree in an accelerated 2.5 years. Currently, I work at an immigration law firm specializing in employment-based visas, leveraging my personal and professional experience to guide clients through complex immigration processes.
After graduating from my undergraduate program, I followed my passion for law and enrolled at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. Living in a diverse community in San Diego and being close to the U.S.-Mexico border sparked my curiosity about immigration trends and the need for immigration assistance. My background as an immigrant naturally translated into a deep interest in immigration law. I completed my JD degree in an accelerated 2.5 years and have since focused my career on guiding others through the U.S. immigration system.
Now, working at an immigration law firm specializing in employment-based visas, I use my personal and professional experience to help clients navigate complex immigration processes. As someone who has successfully navigated the U.S. education and immigration systems, I am passionate about helping others achieve their American Dream.
